Ram Yoro

 

Growing up around colorful reefs in the Philippines, it is no surprise that Ram eventually ended up as a full-time scuba instructor after a previous productive stint in the corporate world.  The beauty of the oceans always fascinated him and this led him to also pursue underwater photography – to make others aware of the treasures that lie beneath.

 

As an underwater photographer, the allure of documenting treasures beyond the realm of recreational diving led Ram to pursue techncal diving.  Today, he is active with the Filipino Cave Divers and the Philtech Dive Team in exploring caves, wrecks, and new reefs in the islands. When not in exploration mode, Ram is back in his base in Anilao where he is a proponent of Bonfire Diving, a specialized method for shooting plankton in the shallow seas which he pioneered. 

 

Aside from several articles and photo contributions to several print and online platforms, Ram is also co-author of the Guide To Anilao book (2017) and an upcoming Philippine Wrecks book to be released April of 2019.
